Il progetto AIP è il risultato di un lungo lavoro svolto durante i mesi di quarantena, in un periodo storico caratterizzato da criticità mai riscontrate prima in ambito economico, sociale e politico. Analogamente a questi contesti anche quello sportivo è stato travolto dalla crisi generata dalla pandemia di Covid-19. Alcuni giocatori di Serie A3, Serie A2, SuperLega e giocatrici di Serie A1 e Serie A2 Femminile hanno deciso di unirsi in un unico e proficuo tavolo operativo virtuale (capace, in un secondo momento, di coinvolgere tanti altri giocatori e giocatrici della massima serie, alcuni esponenti di rilievo della nostra Nazionale, giocatori di beach e di sitting) su cui far convergere idee, proposte e iniziative che avessero tutte come obiettivo finale la creazione di unʼassociazione di categoria che potesse partire con nuova energia, nuova linfa, per dare voce ai diritti di tutti i giocatori e le giocatrici di Pallavolo, Beach Volley e Sitting Volley (indistintamente dalla serie di appartenenza) e per contribuire attivamente alla crescita di questo mondo.

The AIP (Associazione Italiana Pallavolisti) project is the result of a long work carried out during the months of quarantine, in a historical period characterized by problems never encountered before in the economic, social and political spheres. Similarly to these contexts, sports too have been overwhelmed by the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Some male players of Serie A3, Serie A2, SuperLega and female players of Serie A1 and Serie A2 have decided to join in a single and profitable virtual operating table (capable, at a later time, of involving many other players. Among them we can find players of the top series, prominent exponents of our national team, beach and sitting players). They had a chance to share ideas, proposals and initiatives with a final goal the creation of a trade association that could start with new energy and new lymph in order to give voice to the rights of all players of the Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Sitting Volleyball Leagues (regardless of the series they belong to) and to actively contribute to the growth of this world.

Ci piace lʼidea di avere come obiettivo quello di creare il maggior numero di opportunità possibili per gli associati. In questa fase, essendo nati da poco, cʼè tanta carne al fuoco perché si stanno prendendo in considerazione molte situazioni in modo da poter raggiungere atleti di ogni fascia dʼetà. Si sta lavorando per avviare collaborazioni con le università, telematiche e non, per incentivare il proseguimento degli studi (dual career) e per trovare soluzioni che possano aiutare lʼinserimento nel mondo del lavoro (post career). In più si stanno studiando convenzioni, per polizze assicurative personali (per esempio in caso di infortunio) e scontistiche per lʼacquisto di materiali, abbigliamento sportivo e calzature da pallavolo.

We like the idea of having the goal of creating as many opportunities as possible for the members. In this phase, having been born recently, there is a lot of meat on the fire because many situations are being considered in order to reach athletes of all age groups. We are working on starting collaborations with universities, telematic and non-telematic, to encourage the continuation of studies (dual career) and to find solutions that can help the insertion into the world of work (post career). In addition, agreements are being studied for personal insurance policies (for example in the event of an injury) and discounts for the purchase of materials, sportswear and volleyball shoes.

Partiamo dal presupposto che AIP svolge un ruolo completamente diverso dallʼagente sportivo, non vogliamo sostituirci proprio perché noi lavoriamo per il collettivo mentre lʼagente sportivo lavora per il singolo. Vogliamo lavorare senza distinzioni fra giocatori e offrendo, come riportato prima, opportunità che vanno oltre la “sola” attività sportiva. Vogliamo collaborare con gli agenti sportivi, per la tutela del collettivo nei casi che ci vedono tutti coinvolti, con la consapevolezza che dal confronto e dalla collaborazione possono essere fatte grandi cose per questo mondo che ha bisogno di tutti questi attori.

We start from the fact that AIP plays a completely different role from the sports agents. We do not want to replace them because we work for the collective while the sports agent works for the individual interests. We want to work without distinction between players by offering, as reported above, opportunities that go beyond "just" sports. Collaboration and transparency with sports agents, for the protection of the collective in cases that see us all involved, is the basic target of AIP.

AIP, come scritto nello Statuto, è unʼassociazione senza scopo di lucro e nascendo come tale non potrà cambiare la sua natura giuridica, ma se si vuole che funzioni e duri nel tempo sarà necessario investire per sostenere le spese del lavoro di coloro che affiancheranno noi pallavolisti per le attività proprie dellʼAssociazione e per gli eventuali rimborsi spese (che attualmente sono calcolati in € 0,00 e si evidenzia che si sta utilizzando una piattaforma telematica proprio per non avere voci di spesa legate agli spostamenti).

AIP, as written in the Statute, is a non-profit association and being born as such it cannot change its legal nature. However, if we want it to work and last over time it will be necessary to invest and support the labor costs of those who will support us, volleyball players, organizing the activities of the Association and refunding any expenses (which are currently calculated in € 0.00 and it should be noted that a telematic platform is being used precisely in order not to have expense items related to travel).

AIP porta avanti il concetto di diritto di immagine collettiva inteso come categoria. Un concetto nuovo proprio perché riempie un vuoto e nasce come punto di riferimento collettivo; non va inteso come diritto di immagine singolo, che è in capo al singolo giocatore/trice e che non subisce nessun cambiamento con la nascita di AIP. LʼAssociazione nasce per i giocatori/trici e ha tutto lʼinteresse a rispettare la situazione di ogni singolo associato, con la massima disponibilità e volontà di risolvere eventuali dubbi. Nasce per noi giocatori/trici, non nasce per metterci in difficoltà. Conoscere AIP significa dare forza a noi stessi, uniti, insieme. Questo punto è molto importante, non tanto per AIP, ma per il futuro della categoria collettiva di atleti e atlete. Non cʼè la volontà di strumentalizzare nessuno contro i propri interessi o contro la propria volontà.

AIP continues the concept of collective image right as a category. A new concept precisely because it fills a void and is born as a collective point of reference; it should not be understood as a single image right, which belongs to the individual player and which does not undergo any change with the birth of AIP. The Association was created for the players and has every interest in respecting the situation of each individual member, with the utmost availability and willingness to resolve any doubts. It was born for us players, it was not born to put us in difficulty. Knowing AIP means giving strength to ourselves, united, together. This point is very important, not so much for AIP, but for the future of the collective category of athletes. There is no desire to exploit anyone against their own interests or against their will.

Perché siamo i reali protagonisti di questo sport, ma la nostra voce, il nostro parere sono stati ascoltati raramente ed è arrivato il momento di poter contribuire anche noi con idee, progetti e spunti alla crescita di questo mondo sportivo. È importante che ognuno di noi ragioni sul fatto che solo insieme, con fiducia, condivisione, partecipazione e senso di appartenenza possiamo essere forti e rappresentativi. Quello dellʼAssociazione non è un percorso che si basa solo sui problemi, ma soprattutto su nuove opportunità per tutelare noi stessi, migliorare la nostra posizione nella vita in palestra e in quella fuori, farci ascoltare da chi “dirige” un movimento che senza di noi non ci sarebbe.

AIP believes that the player is the real protagonists of this sport, but our voice, our opinion have rarely been listened and the time has come to contribute with ideas, projects and ideas to the growth of this sporting world. Each of us, players, should reason on the fact that only together, with trust, sharing, participation and a sense of belonging we can be strong and representative. The Association is not a path that is based only on problems, but above all on new opportunities to protect ourselves, improve our position in life in the gym and outside, let us listen to those who "lead" a movement that without us there wouldn’t be any.
